The butterfly has been Graff’s visual signature for fifty years. Not as decoration — as a diamond-setting logic: wings that hold stones at an angle to catch light from every direction, suggesting movement in an object that is perfectly still. We worked with Graff’s architecture team in Hong Kong to take that logic to architectural scale. The butterfly motif — its geometry, its symmetry, its relationship between solid form and open space — was developed into a system of patterns for facades and interiors.
